Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream Review

Hi everyone! I decided to write a review on a popular BB cream- Lioele's Triple the Solution! I've tried maybe 7 or 8 BB creams (Skin79 pink label, Missha Cho Bo Yang, Lioele Beyond the Solution, Lioele Triple the Solution, and a few samples) but this one is probably the best of them. It's not perfect for me by any means, but it does the job. Read on to find out more!

 Where to get it:

Description: Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream’s main functions are Whitening, UV Protection, and Wrinkle Care. Arbutin ingredients naturally brighten skin and create a more even looking complexion, while plant extracts help boost cell regeneration to smooth out fine lines. The SPF contained in this product doesn’t only product skin from harmful UV rays but also improves the results in the other two main functions. UV light causes dark spots that makes skin tone uneven and breaks down connective tissue such as collagen, which leads to wrinkles; SPF prevents both of these. This BB cream also moisturizes and nourishes the skin to improve over health with yogurt and hyaluronic acid ingredients. (from prettyandcute.com)

Packaging: Soo cuute! And good quality! I'm really a fan of the packaging, it's girly and pink and has shiny parts while still having a really good pump system. I've never had a problem with accidently pumping too much, as it gives you a lot of control over how much you can get at once. I really love that feature- very good quality and also as hygienic as you can get!

Awww yeeeeeeeeeeeea check that fine-ass pump out.

Scent: A very lovely floral/slightly powdery scent? I'm not sure, but I am a big fan of it. It's kind of calming, and anytime I smell it I immediately think of Korean cosmetics and get happier. It's not a very heavy scent  though, so if you're sensitive to smells I think it's decent?

Swatch: A heavier, creamy BB cream. It is easily spread and blended, but can feel a bit 'heavy' on the face because of its texture. I don't mind it in the winter time, but during the summer it might be annoying, depending on how warm it is outside. :(

I forgot to take more swatch pics, I might update this later with more in depth ones!

Results/Coverage: Unfortunately, Triple the Solution doesn't quiiiite match my skin. It matches better than the others I've tried however, so I'm okay with that. It has medium/heavy coverage depending on how you apply it. I would recommend against doing multiple layers, as it's quite a heavy BB cream and would appear cakey if you applied too much. One layer doesn't look cakey for the most part and doesn't 'sink' into wrinkles, which is great! I have small smile lines because I'm super happy, and this BB cream covers them! :D

Expanding on the tone matching- the BB cream matches my skin well in the lighting used for these pictures, but in some other lightings it ddin't quiiite match up to my neck/the rest of my body. It was slightly too dark and yellow/orange, which was disappointing. Not a ton, mind you, but enough for me to notice. Another negative I noticed was that it had a tendancy to highlight any dry patches you have, so not quite as moisturizing as it claims to be, perhaps? Regardless, if you make sure to deeply moisturize any trouble spots you have, it should be okay.

Overall it's a really good BB cream. It definitely gives my skin a nice 'glow' without being gross and oily like the Skin79 Hot Pink BB cream. I didn't need any powder, but if you have oily skin you probably would. Since I don't have oily skin, I also can't comment on how well it stays matte :o For me it was quite a few hours before I noticed any shiny-ness if that counts for anything haha.

I can't think of anything else to comment on really, so on to the ridiculous pictures!

Before & Afters

Before - not sure what I'm doing with my face.

After- you can see a couple of small dry patches near my nose and eyebrows. I hope everyone appreciates and enjoys my facial expression.

Before- the sun was really brightttt, that's why I look so intense >:o

After- idk how to make facial expressions for public viewing.

Before- Briight sun bright sun, angry Laura expression!

After!

Conclusion: Final Score 4.3/5
Pros:
  • Full coverage for those with acne, hyperpigmentation, redness, etc! :D
  • Smells nice
  • Hygienic pump packaging
  • Widely available
  • Makes your skin look 'glowy' without being oily
  • High SPF and lots of neato skin benefits!
Cons:
  • Can highlight dry patches
  • Doesn't quite match my skin (NW20)- a little bit too dark and yellow
It's a really good BB cream that just doesn't quite match all of my needs. I think it would work for a looot of people though, and definitely encourage you guys to check it out if it sounds interesting! :D

  1. Glad you reviewed this, as for me, I haven't tried it because swatches always look wayyy too dark, and though your swatch is but one photo I think it is very confirming >_>
