Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Triethanolamine, Polysorbate20, Vaccinum Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Rosa Canina Fruit Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Saccharomyces Lysate Extract, Malpighia Punicifolia (Acerola) Fruit Extract, Saccharomyces/Xylinum Black Tea Fermet, Scutellaria Alpina Flower/Leaf/Stem extract, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Centella Asiatica Extract, Citrus Au Ranti Um Bergamia (Bergamont) Fruit Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Medica Li Monum (Lemon) Peel Extract, Dimethylsilanol Hyaluronate, Glucosyl Hesperidin, Hydroxyethycellulose, Kappa Phycus Alvarezii Extract, Laminaria Digitata Extract, Malva Sylvestris (Mallow) Flower Extract, Methyli Sothiazolinone, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Sodium PCA, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Carbomer Prunas Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Protein, Fragrance, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Polyglutamic Acid, Arbutin, Sodium Hydroxide.
Scent: It smells really lovely- Earl Grey-ish and a bit floral/lemony. However, I think that this might be an even stronger scent than the usual MBD mask, so it's a very very strong smell. I actually found it a bit off putting while wearing it, and I'm not particularly sensitive to smell. So if you are, you should definitely be wary with this mask.
Packaging: I think this packaging is my favorite so far. It's pretty and lacy and cute and matte, quite different from the usual MBD packaging. No real differences besides the different designs, however.
Fit: Just copying + pasting what I wrote in my last review... They are too wide and too long to fit my face, the area between the mouth and nose is about double the size it needs to be, and the nose area is designed for a much shallower nose bridge than mine. However, due to the mask being quite thin, you can make small tears to adjust it easily. This at least helps the poor fit! See here for more info.
Results: The mask did moisturize and brighten my face, but I didn't see any 'clarifying' really, nor did it help calm any current acne I had. It was a pleasant mask, but the results weren't particularly amazing- especially considering there are a few other MBD masks that do everything this mask does and more (Apple Polyphenol & Mixed Berries masks, especially).
Conclusion: Final Score: 3.5/5
Pros:
- super cute packaging
- moisturizes
- brightens complexion
- smells really nice
- no 'clarifying'
- strong smell can be a problem for those with sensitive noses!
- doesn't do anything particularly amazing
The packaging of this is absolutely darling! Lol their masks never fit me quite right either. Thanks for the review! ^^
ReplyDeleteI actually have one of these but I haven't tried yet ^^
ReplyDeleteThe packaging is definitely adorable. Have you tried the MBD Hyaluronic Acid mask yet? I love it!
ReplyDeleteThe packaging is too cute! *A* I generally LOVE MBD masks, so I'm a bit bummed to hear that this one didn't really live up to your expectations. >u< I haven't tried this yet, but I still might, in the future~
ReplyDeleteI love the packaging!*_* A pitty it didn't live up to your expectations :/
ReplyDeleteThe name sounds so cute and dainty! And I'm in love with the packaging, you can never go wrong with macarons. But it's a shame that it didn't do anything noteworthy, I guess the appeal is in the ingredients haha :D

I love cute packages, and still never been "unhappy" with a MBD mask, even though some are much better than others.
ReplyDeletei didnt like this mask much when i tried it either. i saw nothing and it did moisturize but not that well either. the smell definitely was heavenly tho!! so its a shame!
ReplyDeleteYea :( Oh well! The search continues for the perfect sheet mask!
