I could only find the ingredients for the original- I assume that the EX is similar but not quite the same. Sorry all ):

Scent: This sleeping pack has a moderately strong scent... i'ts quite light and soothing. Originally I was neutral about it, but I've grown to like it quite a lot. I guess I associate it with my nightly skincare routine, which is something I really enjoy. You can smell it for awhile after applying, but it's not distracting.

Packaging: I can't comment on the full size packaging, but the trial size was just fine. A small plastic jar with a screw on top. Not hygienic, but it works for what it is. I like Laneige's packaging in general, it looks classy and high quality without being ostentatious. I think it definitely works for the market they're targeting, and I feel that it makes it seem a lot more 'legitimate'.

Swatch: The product is a light blue gel. A little goes a long way, and it sinks in quickly even after I've layered 3-4 other moisturizing products under it!

Results: I'm really pleased with this sleeping pack! I had high expectations based on the various reviews on the internet, but they were all met honestly. The primary concern for me was extra moisture, and it definitely delivers in that regard! The sleeping pack leaves my skin hydrated, smooth, and plump the next morning. I've also noticed that my skin just 'glows' and looks more even in general in the morning.

However, I will say that, depending on what your skincare routine is like, it might not fully sink into before you go to bed. That's a-okay with me, because I never have any issues with greasiness the next morning and anyone that sees me before I go to bed won't care that my face is a bit shiny. I have quite a moisture intensive routine though, which I think contributes to it not fully sinking in. When I apply it to my neck, it dries quickly and matte... so YMMV, depending on the products used before it.

I've been using it a few times a week for the past month, and I'd definitely say that it has helped my skin retain its moisture with the AC blasting all night (Texas y'all). I'm over halfway done with the sample, but I am interested in seeing how it works during the Norwegian winter if the sample lasts that long... did I mention I'm moving to Norway in a couple of weeks? Cause I am. Freakin' outtt.

Anyway yea. A+ 5/5 would buy again yes. Good stuff.

Conclusion: Final Score: 5/5

Pros:
  • very hydrating!
  • brightens complexion
  • makes skin soft and supple
  • sinks in quickly
  • (relatively) widely available
  • nice, relaxing scent
Cons:
  • blue color might be off putting to some
  • can leave a 'film' on skin (I'm totally okay with this since I wash it off the next day- others might not be)

  4. Nice review! I like how you actually put a link to where this product is sold, as well as the price. Not many bloggers actually do that and it was helpful!

  5. Looks good! Ive never tried a sleeping mask before. i guess its just the same as masks except overnight and you have to wash it off in the morning??? i cant really tell the difference btwn a night cream and a night mask. >.< is it ok for your face to touch the bed sheets? lol

    1. totally okay for your face to touch the bedsheets! you just have to wait like 5 or 10 minutes for it to sink in better before going to bed~ and i think a night cream might target stuff like wrinkles or uneven skintone, whereas a night mask is more focused on moisture and plumping up your skin and stuff!

  7. I never tried any of laneige products yet as every time I wanted to, there must be something else that catches my eyes more..haha

plus it is focused more on hydrating and mine is oily , so i'm not sure if it would help me in that way...

anyway, thanks for the review. I might really fall for it soon..haha
