Sana HADANOMY Collagen Milk & Cream Review

Hi everyone! I'm doing a combined review of two products from the same line- Sana's Hadanomy Collagen milk and cream! I originally ordered the cream due to needing a basic cream that wasn't terrible like Juju Aquamoist's Vitamin C cream (review coming up soon!!), and found it for a good price on Sasa. I like it so much that I ended up buying the milk to go along with.

Also, I'm currently staying with my boyfriend in Norway for the week and I forgot to take the cream with me, so there won't be as many pictures of it. Very sorry. :c More after the jump! (:

Sana Hadanomy Collagen Milk Review

'

Where to get it:
sasa.com $11.90
imomoko.com $17.99

Description: Sana Hadanomy Collagen Milk has a moisture retention formula and micro collagen to make your skin look and feel smooth. Honey extracts binds moisture to the skin and helps it stay hydrated. So it not only smoothes dry, rough, wrinkled skin, but honey also makes skin supple and plumps up wrinkles. Acerola extract has an antioxidant action that helps to protect against free radical damage that can accelerate skin aging. Evens skin tone and brighten skin and boosts production of collagen and elastin. Also, helps increase skin’s ability to retain moisture (from prettyandcute.com)

Claims:
~ moisturize/hydrate
~ smooth
~ brighten
~ plump
~ anti-aging
~ moisture retention

Packaging: Very, very cute. I love the shade of pink they use and just how adorably feminine it is! The opening is actually a bit different than I'm used to with the other emulsion I've tried. This opening is actually quite small, but is in the middle of a mini-bowl like thing, so it doesn't cause you to accidently squeeze too much product out at once. I appreciate that, and find it quite useful.

Scent:  It has quite the scent... not entirely sure what it smells like, but it reminds me a bit of when I was like 8 and had mono and had to have penicillin chased down by gatorade every morning. I was originally not a fan of the smell at all, but my boyfriend quite likes it. Now I am rather neutral towards it, and associate the smell with hydrated skin haha. The smell doesn't stick around too much, but just a headsup for anyone who is sensitive to smells.

Swatch: It has a milky, slightly runny consistency. It sinks in decently, leaving no oilyness or shinyness, but is a big sticky for 5 or so minutes after application. :(

Results: It's a pretty decent emulsion, but just doesn't live up to its claims. It moisturizes well and leaves my skin hydrated and smooth, but I don't see any brightening or plumping going on. As I already mentioned, the milk can be sticky after applying it and take awhile to for the stickiness to fully go away. It sinks in decently quickly and isn't too shiny or anything. The milk is quite cooling as well- sometimes overly so. It can be a bit distracting whenever I'm waiting for it to fully dry and random parts of my face feel cool. Oh well.

Conclusion: Final score 3.8/5

Pros
  • moisturizes very well
  • cute & practical packaging that prevents overpouring
Cons
  • doesn't brighten or firm my skin
  • can be a bit sticky
It's not a bad emulsion, just not a great one. It does a good job of moisturizing, but it doesn't really offer any of the additional effects that the cream does, so I'm not in love with it. I won't repurchase :(

Packaging: I think this line has some of the cutest packaging I've seen (to me!). I adore how pink and pretty it is, and especially love the little lace heart bit. Of course, I have to mention the fact that this cream comes in a jar which is a big no-no for hygiene. It does not come with a spoon like some jars, but I am always careful when using it. Besides the hygiene issue, I think my biggest complaint with the packaging is how messy it can get. For whatever reason the cream finds a way to cover the screw on potion of the jar, and over a few days it can be quite messy. I have to routinely clean it if I want it to look okay.
Scent: It has the same scent as the milk above, but even more! IT sticks around for longer and is just stronger over all. As I said above, I now associate the smell with these products so it's not a big deal, but be aware if you are sensitive to smells.

Swatch: The cream is quite gel-like. Immediately after applying it, it's shiny and quite moist. It soon sinks in and leaves my skin feeling very well hydrated without any stickyness or shine though, so don't worry about that. :) Like the milk, my skin feels fairly cool after application. It's not as pronounced or annoying with the cream though, just a faint and relaxing sensation.

Results: I am so pleased by this cream. Despite the fact that it smells odd and the jar gets messy, it does such a great job of hydrating my skin and leaving it plump and bright the next morning. It was a lifesaver this winter. After applying, it leaves my skin feeling cool, firm, and hydrated without any oilyness. It sinks in relatively fast as well. I have been using it for months without any acne either, so I don't think anyone has to worry about it breaking you out! There isn't much else to say really. It does its job super well for a good price. I use this cream after acid peels without any issues with irritating my skin either, which is really great! :D

I will definitely be repurchasing Sana's Hadanomy Collagen cream. :)

Conclusion: Final score 5/5

Pros
  • relatively cheap
  • super hydrating
  • cooling
  • cute packaging
  • leaves skin firm and bright
  • works well after an acid peel
Cons
  • strong smell
  • jar can get messy

Have you guys tried any of Sana's products? If so, what do you think? :)
