Packaging: I can't comment too much about the packaging, as I only have the sample. The full size looks like this:

So yea. Both have the same shade of green- it's nice. Mature. Not especially cute. The little sample packet is a bit irritating to open and use, but that's not really important to the actual full size product.

Scent: Am I alone in feeling like there's a BB cream 'scent'? It's a nice, very light scent... but I swear I've had it in a few other BB creams. Maybe Skin79? Maybe Missha? Whatever. It's quite light, sort of floral/powdery... maybe? I can't describe this stuff. Either way, it's not heavy and shouldn't irritate anyone.

Swatch: Out of the packet it's maybe half a shade too dark, but seems to be a good tone match for me. It's definitely not yellow toned- more grey/pink... like ME! :D The texture is much more liquid-y than previous BB creams I've tried. It's not thick at all- it spreads okay, but you  might need a bit more to cover everything because it's so watery.

Results/Coverage: FIRST OF ALL- Sorry for the unflattering pictures, I have a small period-induced breakout at the moment.

Anyway. In these pictures I applied one thin layer of the BB cream. I would say it has light/medium coverage, leaning towards light. It covers most redness pretty well in one layer, but more than one would be necessary to cover more serious hyperpigmentation and pimples. Happily, it is buildable! I used two layers around my nose redness, and it worked well without being cakey.

Also- this oxidizes to match my skintone quite well. It starts off a bit grey, but that soon lessens to better suit my skin... though not perfectly. In the last picture you can see that it's just a touch grey compared to my neck. It's not a big deal as I would think most people wouldn't notice, but just a heads-up.

    Before - No makeup
Small breakout ;_; Unflattering pics, oh well.

    After
One layer thinly applied. You can see that it covers up most of my hyperpigmentation, as well as reducing the appearance of any active pimples I have. Also covered up the redness around my nose nicely ~

    After

    After
You can see the slightly grey cast it has a bit better in this lighting. Excuse the stray hair. Also you can see where I was lazy with blending it, lollll woops. Embarrassing. I literally didn't leave my house that day, so no big deal.

I would say that it does a good job of reducing the appearance of pores- I have giant pores, and this BB cream definitely made them look smaller. As you can see in the last picture, it has a semi-dewy (aka... natural) finish. I'm not sure why that is, since it's supposed to be sebum controlling, but it is what it is. Also- I have dry skin, but it worked just fine on me and wasn't drying in the least... so I would say that this works for those with dry skin in the summer and spring. Not sure about fall/winter yet, but maybe I'll use up my last sample this fall. It's also a great summer BB cream because it's light weight- I couldn't feel this on at all!

Overall I'm quite pleased with this BB cream. I won't be buying the full size, but only because I already have a few that I want to get through first. Definitely seems like a great choice for those with similar skin to me. (:

    Conclusion: Final Score 4.3/5

    Pros
    • light but buildable coverage- you'd need to layer it to cover serious hyperpigmentation
    • natural finish
    • reduces appearance of pores
    • seems to be suitable for all skintypes
    • light weight- doesn't feel heavy at all
    Cons
    • sliiiightly too grey

    1. Do you think you need pore primer to completely cover your pores? Or this bb cream is enough? The finish looks glossy to me. Not sure if this will work on my oily skin.

      1. TBH i don't really mind my giant pores, they're clean and free of clogs so I've just learned to live with them. I've tried a pore primer stick from Etude House that did a little bit, but I's not a big concern for me I think o: Glossy might be a better way to describe the finish for sure, might edit that in.

It says it has sebum controlling properties, but I didn't see any of those so :/ I could give you a sample of it, I still have one!

    5. Slightly expensive for my tastes, but I'll definitely keep it in mind, since we've got similar skin tones (albeit I'm more oily).

    7. ooh i like the look of this, sounds like it would cover up my monster pores too! The finish does seem a bit contradictory considering it's sebum controlling, but the dewy look is a bonus :)
