Packaging: This is probably one of the first BB creams you will hear of when starting your search. As the weeks pass and you continue researching Asian cosmetics, your obsession growing by the hour, you will see this product everywhere- blogs, forums, stores... your dreams. Anyway, I find that this dark red tube has become synonymous with BB Creams. I only have the smaller/'trial' size, but it's a good quality 'thicker' plastic. The smaller 20ml version comes in a squeeze tube, while the larger 50ml comes with a pump. I am happy with either kind tbh, but just a heads-up in case you feel passionately one way or another. I have no complaints about the packaging.

Scent: Baby powder... very baby powder. I'm not a fan of the scent, but it's not toooo heavy. Still, those sensitive to smell should be aware. That's basically the exact thing I say about every scented product, but it still holds true! ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ

Swatch: I hope you guys don't find the pictures excessive, but I wanted to make this thorough! Immediately out of the tube, it seems to be a decent color match, but after spreading it it appears too dark and yellow on my hand. This is much more obvious in the lighting in my bathroom. It's a very light textured BB cream, and spreads very easily. It's probably the 'lightest' BB cream I've tried to date.

Results/Coverage: I've already warned y'all- I'm not feeling awesome right now, so please don't make fun of me channeling the chipmunk in these pictures.

    Immediately Before
Small breakout from that Skinfood BB cream I should probably add to the review...

    Immediately After
This lighting isn't true to life- but you can see that it has a dewy finish and medium coverage. It appears to match my skin pretty well here buuuut...

    Immediately After - Natural Lighting
I couldn't take any flattering pics in this lighting, sorry. Anyway, you can see more of the 'dewyness', buuut I felt that immediately after it was a bit ashy on my skin. I couldn't get a good picture demonstrating the ashyness, but it made me look a bit ill. No worries though, because it soon oxidized to match me a bit more.

    7 Hours after
My eyes are red/purple because I had heavy eye-makeup on that I removed. It definitely matches my skin a bit better here, so hurray! I do feel that it's starting to show little patches of redness here and there, however. I also changed out of my cat shirt.

So in case you didn't read the captions- it starts out a bit too ashy for my skin. After roughly 5-10 minutes it matches more closely. It definitely has a dewy finish, but I find that it can look a bit greasy in certain lighting, and this shows up especially well in photographs. It's definitely moisturizing, and covers my hyperpigmentation and redness very well.

I did find that, despite it's light texture, it can be a bit cakey if you're not careful with application. It doesn't cover up fine lines or pores either... it kind of highlights them. I also find that it highlights any bumps I have, so it doesn't give me smooth looking skin. On the other hand, this is one of only a few BB creams that my mom has said she liked a lot on me, so take that for what you will...

For the most part I don't notice I'm wearing it, but after about 8 hours I can definitely 'feel' that I have something on my skin. It's not mask like, but it's not a natural feeling. Meh. Due to the color match, I'll probably use this up whenever I run out of other BB creams that I like better.

    Conclusion: Final Score 3.8/5

    Pros
    • medium coverage - good for hyperpigmentation and redness
    • good color match (takes 5-10 minutes to fully oxidize)
    • My mom says she likes it on me?
    Cons
    • dewy finish can appear greasy in some lights
    • ashy immediately after application (unflattering)
    • can be cakey if you're not careful
    • can settle into fine lines and pores/highlight imperfections

    1. Hehehe you look cute chipmunky lol! I like it =)

Missha is so far my favorite Korean BB cream but I have to wear 27 because it's the only one that's actually yellow and not grey. I can get away with no. 23 but it's so easy to go over with something that's called "perfect cover" lol.

I think the dewy finish looks good on you, but I am a fan of dewy over highlighter in general. =)

      thanks for your review xo

      1. Thanks for the comment!! I like the dewy look for the most part, but I guess I'm not used to it on me o: And haha yea, I can understand that. I really like Missha's Cho Bo Yang BB cream as well as their Signature Real Complete one- this one is good but not great for me. I'm thinking of trying out a Holika Holika Petit BB cream whenever I use up/sell some of these, hmm. :)

    3. If I apply more than 1 layer it looks cakey on me too :c And I don't like the fact that it's oxidizes.. Color doesn't match my face after.

    4. Missha Perfect Cover in 21 is like my holy grail bb cream. I'm surprised to see it not ranked higher. :P But I guess my major issue is redness and as you said, it addresses that well.

    5. Missha's Perfect Cover is my favourite BB cream. I started using it 3 years ago and it helped to improve my skin sooo much :D Now I can test other BB creams, even those with lighter coverage without worrying about blemishes :D

      1. Oh wow that's fantastic to hear! I wonder what in it improved your skin so much... but that's crazy awesome. I guess it really does live up to the whole BB cream craze, where it actively improves your skin as well as acting as makeup!

    6. I've been using this BB cream since I first found out about them and I really like it! I can tell you it has good whitening properties, now my face is several shades lighter than my arms after using this for about 3 years now haha xD Thank you for the review!

      1. Whaat that's crazy! I'm impressed, but that makes sense. I think it has arbutin in it, maybe? And that used over long periods of time is quite effective. Interesting interesting. Thanks for the comment!

    7. I quite like this bb cream; it's a bit ashy at first but it oxidises and looks quite natural after a few minutes. I quite like the coverage on me as well as it evens out my skin tone

    8. I liked the way this BB cream looked on me, but it broke me out, so I had to stop using it. You look lovely -- despite recent surgery. Very brave of you to do photos! I know I was a miserable wreck for several weeks after my wisdom teeth were extracted....so kudos to you!!! And I hope you are feeling much better now!

    10. Hi Laura!

This Missha BB cream was actually the first BB cream I have heard and wanted. But after looking at reviews, I decided to get the Skin79 Hot Pink BB cream instead and love it ^^

I have decided to nominate you for the prestigious Liebster award. Please check my blog for more details.

      Have a lovely day ^^

      1. You should try Precious Mineral Bright Fit from Etude, It would really suit you and it has semi-matte finish. It's also good for normal to dry skin type!
