Benton Snail Bee High Content Mask Pack Review (Benton Review Series #3)

In case anyone is wondering, I'm reviewing the Benton line in the order that I would use them. I use this sheet mask after the essence, because I feel like the consistency of the mask's serum fits there! :)

This review is part of the 6 part Benton review series!
3. Benton Snail Bee High Content Mask Pack
4. Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel
5. Benton Snail Bee High Content Lotion
6. Benton Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream

I'll be adding links to the series at the introduction of each review, look out for them over the next few weeks!

Description: Benton Snail Bee High Content mask pack is for all types of skin including sensitive and troubled. Instead of water, this product uses tea leaf water, snail secretion filtrate, bee venom, and EGF to cleanse your rough and damaged skin from stresses and pollution. In addition to acne-care, moisture supply, and skin tone improvement functions, arbutin and adenosine help whiten your skin and reduce wrinkles.

Claims:
Anti-acne
Whitening
Anti-aging
Moisturizing
No Parabens
No Alcohol
No Artificial fragrances or Coloring

Ingredients: camelia sinenis leaf water, snail secretion filtrate, glycerin, arbutin, bee venom, human olgopeptide-1, plantago asiatica extract, laminana digitata extract, diospryeos kaki leaf extract, willow bark extract, elm extract, bacilus ferment, azeliac acid, althaea rosea flower extract, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, butylene glycol, beta-glucan, betaine, xantahn gum, adenosine, panthenol, allatoin, zanthoxylum piperitum fruit etract, usnea barbata extract, pulsatilla koreena extract

Scent: This mask has no added fragrance, which is great for those with sensitive skin. However, it does have a very mild, natural scent. Very fresh and barely noticeable, it just smells rather earthy. I think it might be from the aloe water?

Packaging: Benton-y. It's a bit different than any other sheet masks I've used before in that it has the shiny silver pouch, whereas most other brands go for quite a different look. Besides that, there isn't too much to say about it.

There is a moderate amount of serum in the pouch. It's not absolutely soaked like My Beauty Diary masks, but it's enough for 20-30 minutes of use. The serum is watery, but not as prone to dripping as My Beauty Diary masks.

Fit: The cotton mask itself is made of thicker material, which is meh. It's nice in that you don't have to worry about accidently tearing it, but it makes it impossible to customize the fit. The mask also doesn't come with any backing plastic.

The fit of the mask is definitely not suited to my features. It's too wide, too long, the hole for the mouth is an inch too low, etc etc. It's not the end of the world of course, just slightly annoying. All of the major parts of my face are still covered, which is what's important.

Results: I really like this mask. After using it, my skin is calm, even-toned, and glowing. Any pimples I have are reduced and calmed, and my skin is lightly hydrated. Notice I said lightly. Like seemingly all of Benton's products, it's main goal doesn't seem to be hydration. I have dry skin, and while this is a nice little boost in moisture, it's below average compared to all other masks I've tried.

Additionally, the 'experience' of using it is only so-so. It's kind of annoying to wear due to the thick, un-customizable material of the mask. Regardless, it's a very effective treatment, and I love using it when I have any active pimples. It really helps calm everything down. I won't be repurchasing, but for those with oily to normal skin types or those with active acne, it's definitely a mask worth looking into.

Conclusion: Final Score: 4.7/5

Pros:
  • calms redness
  • reduces pimples
  • great ingredients
Cons:
  • could use more serum
  • mask material is thick
  • fit is meh
  • only mildly hydrating

since all of them are not enough moisturising for your skin, do you think they would do for an oily skin?
